So if you feel confidant and know your way quite well around your PC then continue reading, but if you feel you know nothing Click Here now.
All you need to do is follow these 5 tips and you will be improving your performance.
1. Cleaning Your Windows Registry
What happens is every time you install a new program it will make some changes to your Windows Registry. Windows stores a huge collection of information in the database. These entries control the performance of basically everything on your system. If you make changes on your computer the registry doesn’t handle them correctly. Over time this causes your PC to slow down and performance isn’t good. So your registry becomes corrupted.
You can do this by yourself, using a program by Windows which is called Regedit, but if you aren’t confident about doing this you might want to consider leaving this to a professional.
There are user-friendly programs such as Registry Easy, which will do all the work for you. Voila your problem is solved.
2. Empty Your Recycle Bin
Really this should be done on a regular basis. When you do so you will be giving the hard drive more space and this will be improving your computers performance.
3. Get Rid Of Unused Programs
You often install different programs on your PC and they are there not used and forgotten about. If you want to delete them go and uninstall them first. Just go to the program’s entry in All Programs under the Start menu. However if the program does not have an uninstaller then go to Start, the Control Panel and go into Add or Remove Programs. Wait a little while your PC gets the info. Then just click on the programs you don’t want anymore and click Change or Remove.
4. Run Disk Clean Up
This may take some time to do. But try and do this on a monthly basis. First go to My Computer, then to your ‘C’ drive and double click on properties. Then you will have to click on Disk Clean Up. A right mark will indicate you want it cleaned and if you want to keep it then just leave it blank. Just click on OK.
5. De-frag Your Disk
Every 3-4 months will be sufficient. If Windows stores programs it may save fragments of files in the nearest available and empty space. So if you ask your PC to get a certain program it will be slow because it needs time to get together certain pieces of the file.
To solve this you simply have to run a defragmentation. Just go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and then you will get the Disk Defragmenter. After you have clicked on this it will load the program and then you just click Defragment. It takes quite a long time.
